The PFA is committed to encourage the safe operation and correct maintenance of this type of equipment and the Association has launched a Safety Training Programme for the customers of member companies.

The PFA Safety Training Programme promotes the safe and effective use of this type of equipment.

Safe use means that:

• The potential for accidents is reduced
• Tools are being used in the correct manner
• The full quality and productivity benefits are gained

In early 2002 the PFA published a safety booklet "Using Power Fastening Driving Tools Safely!" and a safety poster.  They provide essential information on safe working practices when using this type of equipment.
